SIMPLE CONSONANT 1: ㄱ



This an unaspirated  k at the beginning of a word, and a g most of the time in the middle of words. By unaspirated, I mean that it’s not pronounced very hard, like the English ‘k’. It’s the sound you have in Kissed.
Its Korean name is ‘Kiyok’. This pronounced pretty much the same way it is written but with the sound ‘u’ stressed at the end of the last ‘k’ sound. For more insight check out our online video tutorial;
