COMMON KOREAN WORDS 1: SALUTATIONS
Whether you will be visiting Korean very soon or you just want to get a head start on you language lesson, you need to be able to understand a few words in the Korean language which could help you prevent some inconvenient situation. They are termed survival or emergency words. In this lesson, we’ll be considering some common Korean Salutations.

MEANING
 안녕하세요
An-yŏng-ha-se-yo.  
Hi/Hello (Lit means “are you at peace?”)
  환영합니다.
Hwan-yŏng-ham-ni-da. 
Welcome
지내셨어요?
Chal ji-nae-shyŏ-ssŏ-yo?   
How are you? (Lit. means Have you been in peace?)
너무감사합니다!
Nŏ-mu  kam-sa-ham-ni-da!   
Thank you very much!
감사합니다!
kam-sa-ham-ni-da!   
Thank you
아니에요.
A-ni-e-yo.   
You're welcome!                ( Response for "thank you")
안녕히 가세요!
An-nyŏng-hi ga-se-yo!
Goodbye (said to someone leaving. Lit means “go in peace”)
안녕히 계세요!
An-nyŏng-hi gye-se-yo!
Goodbye (said to someone staying by the one leaving. Lit means “stay in peace”)
안녕히 주무셨어요?
An-yŏng-hi ju-mu-shyŏ-ssŏ-yo?
Goodmorning
식사하셨어요?
Shik-sa-ha-shyŏ-ssŏ-yo? 

Goodevening
안녕히 주무세요!
An-yŏng-hi ju-mu-se-yo!   
Goodnight!
나중에 봬요!
Na-jung-e bwae-yo!
